Cancellation of USM Maths Quiz 2020 (20th Nov 2020)

Dear participants, teachers, and parents of the participants of USM Maths Quiz 2020,

 

We regret to inform you that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made a difficult decision to cancel our USM Maths Quiz 2020. The current uncertain situation of COVID-19 is the reason for this cancellation as we cannot see any potential time that is suitable for us to reschedule the event. Moreover, the safety of the participants and organizers is of utmost importance. 

 

Kindly be informed that there will be full refunds issued back to you on the payment that you have made to USAINS HOLDING SDN BHD. Please stay tuned as USAINS will be handling this refund matter and will contact you soon through email regarding the process.

Introduction to USM Maths Quiz

Since 1985, the students of USM Mathematical Sciences Society and their advisors have initiated the Penang State Mathematics Quiz as one of its annual activities carried out (with the approval from the Penang Education Ministry) to cultivate secondary school students' interest in Mathematics, as well as nurture and expose them to naturally occurring daily mathematical problems (in accordance with the school syllabus). The search for these types of mathematical solutions requires creativity and critical thinking, and will, in turn, produce a well-rounded and solution-oriented student.
